What skills and experience we're looking for

The Roseland Multi Academy Trust is a high-performing and values-driven family of schools at an exciting point in our development. Comprising three secondary schools, two primaries and a Teaching School Hub, we have established strong foundations through sustained school improvement, collaborative working and a shared commitment to excellence. Rooted in our mission “to provide outstanding education for our communities, where everyone succeeds,” our Trust places people, professional trust and partnership at the heart of our work. We have built a reputation for developing staff, sharing best practice and securing strong outcomes for young people. As we move from successful improvement towards sustained excellence, innovation and system leadership, we are looking to strengthen our executive capacity to shape the next phase of our journey.

The Trust Education Lead is a pivotal executive position, central to driving educational quality and school improvement across all settings. Working as part of the Executive Team and reporting to the CEO, the appointee will provide strategic leadership for curriculum development, teaching and learning, professional development and quality assurance systems. This role combines high-level strategy and future focus with hands-on leadership of improvement, ensuring consistency, rigour and impact across primary and secondary phases. The successful candidate will line manage and develop Headteachers, lead Trust-wide improvement frameworks, and embed evidence-informed practice that secures sustained excellence in outcomes for pupils. With responsibility for translating Trust priorities into effective educational and operational practice, the Trust Education Lead will play a key role in strengthening systems, building leadership capacity and contributing to our growth and wider system influence.

We are seeking an exceptional values-led education leader with a proven track record of delivering sustained school improvement and organisational change. You will bring deep expertise in curriculum, teaching and learning, inclusion and school effectiveness, alongside the strategic insight to evaluate and strengthen systems at scale. Equally comfortable operating at executive level and working closely with school leaders, you will combine intellectual rigour with emotional intelligence, offering both challenge and support to inspire high performance. A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders are essential, as is a passion for developing others and improving life chances for children and young people. This is an opportunity for an ambitious leader who is motivated by impact, thrives in a values-driven culture and is ready to help shape a Trust committed to excellence, innovation and meaningful system leadership.
