Trust Finance Manager job summary

We are seeking an ambitious Trust Finance Manager, who will be responsible for the

effective financial management of the Trust’s schools, ensuring resources are deployed

efficiently and represent value for money.

You will work closely with the Director of Finance and Operations and each Headteacher

to provide professional financial advice, support, and oversight.

The role will focus on supporting the budget-making process, monitoring budgets throughout

the year, producing financial forecasts, and offering analysis and recommendations to

support decision-making.

This is a demanding role that will require:

preparing regular financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for Headteachers,

the Director of Finance and Operations, and the Trust Board.

providing clear financial advice and recommendations to aid strategic and operational

decision-making.

ensuring all financial processes and transactions demonstrate value for money and

support the Trust’s objectives.

supporting the Director of Finance and Operations in developing Trust-wide financial

systems, policies, and reporting frameworks.

ensuring compliance with statutory financial regulations, the Academy Trust Handbook,

and the Trust’s financial policies.

We are looking for candidates with a professional qualification in accountancy such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent. You must have proficiency in producing management accounts as well as have the experience and ability to confidently and professionally work alongside school leaders in budget setting, financial monitoring and reporting.
