We have an exciting opportunity for a Second Line IT Technician to join our Central IT Services team, providing a reliable, robust and secure IT infrastructure supporting the learning and administrative needs of the Trust and the individual academies.

The purpose of this role is to provide IT support across the Trust and working with the Lead Technician to provide second line support to other team members and working on central projects and network administration.

Working with technologies such as: Windows Server, Azure, Google Workspace, Intune, VMWare, Hyper-V, Windows OS deployments, application packaging and deployment.

To succeed in the role, you will:

have a good knowledge of Active Directory, Azure, Intune and other network-based technologies;

have a good working knowledge of IT Security principles and practices;

have an understanding of IT security principles and requirements

engage with new systems/services and a desire to develop your professional skills;

be self motivated, a quick learner and able to work unsupervised;

be able to demonstrate technical knowledge and problem-solving skills;

be keen and able to innovate and convince others of the need for change;

be organised and be able to deliver projects to deadlines.

You will be required to work at all of the Trust’s Oldham-based academies as required.

You will receive on the job training from our experienced team and the opportunity to do a Level 3 or higher level apprenticeship is available for the right candidate (depending on qualifications).

Werneth Primary School joined our Trust in February 2019 and Broadfield Primary School in April 2023 and most recently, Alexandra Park junior School in April 2024.
