Safeguarding Officer
Permanent, 37 hours per week, Term Time Only

Faringdon Learning Trust are seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Officer with experience and understanding of working with/within Children’s Services. This role will involve working across our Trusts Schools to lead on Child Protection, and advise on cases where children and their families are being supported by External Agencies. You will promote safeguarding procedures and legislation across the Trust, and deliver training to our employees and school Governors around aspects of children’s services intervention.
Key requirements for this role include:
Current, detailed knowledge of child protection pathways and processes;
Ability to liaise closely with Head teachers to provide expert advice on safeguarding matters;
Experience and understanding of service provision to vulnerable children and their families; and
Experience of managing own caseload, attending and providing updates at case reviews.
In addition, you will be highly organised, emotionally resilient, and be able to prioritise conflicting priorities in your work. Experience working with an educational setting is desirable, though not essential. The post holder will be required to visit multiple school sites all of which are currently within 10 miles of Faringdon as part of their job role.
