About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate SENCo to lead the strategic development and day-to-day coordination of Special Educational Needs provision for Harlowbury Primary Academy. You will support pupils with SEN or a disability, provide professional guidance to staff, and work closely with parents and external agencies to ensure every child thrives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across both schools, ensuring the SEN policy is effectively implemented.
  • Maintain accurate SEND registers, provision maps, and monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Support staff with guidance and professional development to ensure high-quality teaching for pupils with SEN.
  • Work with parents, carers, external agencies, and the local authority to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to SEND reviews, self-evaluation, and the development of each school’s SEND Offer and Accessibility Plan.
  • Analyse pupil assessment data and use it to inform provision and interventions.
  • Promote inclusion across the curriculum, school community, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, following Trust policies and the staff code of conduct.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified teacher with experience as a SENCo or in SEND leadership.
  • Must hold the National SENCO Award.
  • Strong knowledge of national and local SEND initiatives, legislation, and best practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work across two schools, managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of support.
