What skills and experience we're looking for
Volunteering on Churchdown School Trust Board is deeply rewarding as it allows you to directly influence the life chances of young people. For our students to have the best possible opportunities in later life, it’s essential to have individuals with the right expertise governing the school and holding the executive team to account. Becoming a Trustee is a fantastic opportunity to give back to your local community by strengthening education.
Whether you are looking for a way to contribute to society or seeking opportunities to build experience in strategic decision making at a senior level, serving as a Trustee can also enhance your non-executive credentials as part of a portfolio career.
We are seeking individuals with expertise in areas such as financial, law, technology, commercial, fundraising or multi-academy trusts. While education sector experience is not required, candidates should have strong business acumen, financial management skills and some governance experience.
Sound judgement, strong communication skills and an empathy with the mission and values of
Churchdown School are also essential.
Churchdown School offers a comprehensive induction program, ensuring that the successful applicant
gains a strong understanding of the school’s current needs and requirements.
