What skills and experience we're looking for

Applications are invited for Vice Principal positions at Houlton School and Ashlawn School, offering an exciting opportunity to join two ambitious and forward-thinking academies within Transforming Lives Educational Trust. This is a unique joint recruitment process, with a single collaborative interview, where successful candidates will be appointed to the school that best aligns with their experience, leadership strengths, and the specific needs of the setting.

As Vice Principal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of School to deliver exceptional educational outcomes, high standards, and strong day-to-day leadership. You will champion outstanding teaching and learning, driving improvements in behaviour, attendance, academic progress, attainment, and personal development. With a clear commitment to inclusion and ambition for every learner, you will help lead the implementation of a holistic and inspiring curriculum, shape whole-school priorities, and contribute strategically to the academy’s vision and improvement plans. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide direction, support, and operational leadership—helping to create a culture where both staff and students flourish.
