Looking to go further in Leadership?
As Principal of Aylward, I am pleased to announce this integral position as we embark on an exciting new chapter at the Academy. We are a community that inspires a love of learning and enables alumni to lead long, happy and successful lives that leave a positive legacy. Our mission is to provide an excellent education to every child, in every classroom, every day. Our values are Excellence, Integrity, Kindness and Self Control.
As Aylward enters its next stage, you will be a crucial part of the team that drives the strategic application of the latest educational research across the Academy, and delivers a curriculum designed to enable all students, regardless of their starting points, to achieve outstanding outcomes.
This role will have a particular focus on behaviour, supporting the continued development and implementation of effective, centralised systems that promote a calm, respectful, and purposeful learning environment for all.
About the school:
Based in Edmonton, North London, Aylward School was established in September 2010 and is an 11-19 learning community with over 1,000 students on roll, including a thriving sixth form. Aylward is situated within a diverse and vibrant London community. Many of our students have English as an additional language, and a significant proportion are entitled to the Pupil Premium. The School is currently rated as GOOD by its last Ofsted inspection in July 2021. If you are passionate about the power of education as a force for change, have a proven track record of impact in similar settings, and are ready to commit to the challenge of leading Aylward through this transformative period, we would be delighted to receive your application.
You're someone who'll be able to:
* Drive excellent standards of teaching - with a proven track record of achieving excellent progress and outcomes for all children, regardless of their prior attainment, needs or background.
* Demonstrate experience as a senior leader in education, with a track record of initiating and delivering whole-school improvement initiatives.
* Give everyone here the kind of support, dedication and positivity we embed at Lift Schools.
You're someone who has:
* An Intellectually Curious Mind: You're forward-thinking, open-minded, and passionate about seeking new knowledge and innovative ideas.
* A Reflective Nature: You regularly reflect on your personal motivations, behaviours, strengths, and areas for growth, and use these insights to improve.
* Resilience and Agility: You handle pressure and setbacks with thoughtfulness and agility, using challenges as opportunities for growth and learning.
* Shows Ambition: This role gives real opportunity for progression to people who are committed and proactive.
