Vice Principal job summary

Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School - part of the Romero Catholic Academy - is a warm, welcoming and vibrant school community, rooted in Gospel values and dedicated to ensuring every child grows in faith, love, and learning. As Vice Principal, you will work in close partnership with the Principal to ensure our mission is lived daily, our children flourish, and our commitment to excellence is evident in every classroom. This is a key role for an ambitious leader who combines strategic vision with a love for teaching, as this post includes classroom teaching responsibility.

As Vice Principal, you will:

  • Support and deputise for the Principal in leading the school in accordance with the teachings and values of the Catholic Church
  • Uphold and strengthen the Catholic life, ethos and mission of the school
  • Provide exceptional leadership in teaching and learning across the school
  • Teach to a high standard, modelling excellent practice and promoting high expectations
  • Champion behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding, ensuring that every child is nurtured and supported
  • Work closely with staff, families, governors and parish to build a united and thriving school community
  • Drive ongoing school improvement through strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation
  • Inspire, develop and motivate staff at all levels

This role has a strong focus on teaching and learning, Catholic leadership, and the ongoing development of our inclusive, aspirational culture.
