About this Role
We're looking for the next Vice Principal for one of our Primary Academies in Lincoln, St Giles Academy.
You will have responsibility of aspects of the leadership of St Giles Academy, alongside the brilliant staff that we already have at the school, developing and leading the team to become even better in their pursuit of delight, joy and ambition for our children. The way we work is really important so you'll be a values driven leader who is ambitious in their goes, but also committed to the nurturing and empowering of the children, the staff and the community around the school.
In a nutshell the role of the Vice Principal is to:
- Ensure the safe, inspiring and nurturing environment for children to thrive in
- Help to lead the strategic and operational direction of the school taking into account staff, parents, and the local community
- Help to develop an environment that promotes and secures outstanding teaching, effective learning and high standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance
- Determine, organise, implement and monitor the curriculum and its assessment and ensure that statutory requirements are met
- Help with the efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources in order to meet the needs of the school, recruiting and retaining brilliant people to do extraordinary things to inspire children
- Lead, manage and develop the staff team at St Giles, ensuring the environment for learning extends to teaching and support staff as well as children
