About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a Vice Principal. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, alongside the Executive Principal and other members of the SLT.
Your role and specific responsibilities will be agreed annually and will change, to allow you the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of academy’s leadership in preparation for promotion. You will have the opportunity to lead on such areas as curriculum development, systems and procedures, timetabling, monitoring standards and teacher effectiveness, tracking and analysis of results/data, behaviour management, external relations and community links, staff development, training and induction.
In this instance, experience of safeguarding at DSL level and pastoral care is preferred.
You will:
- Have experience at Deputy Head level (or equivalent).
- Have led, or significantly contributed to, the success of a school through its leadership, ethos, teaching and learning and results.
- Be experienced in leading a team.
- Be committed to safeguarding all students.
- Understand how to improve and sustain an effective behaviour policy.
- Show demonstrable commitment to raising attainment of all students.
- Be able to use data to inform decision making and diagnose weaknesses that need addressing.
