About us
The Inspiration Trust is at an exciting point in its development. We have invested significantly in long-term curriculum and teacher development to ensure our pupils continue to have the very best education. Our approach to curriculum has subject specificity at its heart and we are proud to have been forerunners in developing a knowledge-rich approach to curriculum.

You will play a significant role in our mission to dramatically improve life chances for young people, particularly the most disadvantaged.

The role
The successful applicant will plan and deliver high-quality instrumental/vocal teaching within multiple Academies across the Trust and will facilitate extra-curricular musical opportunities. While most teaching will take place during school hours, some work will be required out of school hours, most notably for rehearsals and performances.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate music teacher, with a proven track record in achieving strong outcomes, to have a significant impact. This role presents an opportunity to work with nationally recognised practitioners and access high quality CPD.

The trust seeks applications from experienced, specialist piano teachers. The ability to play and teach another instrument(s) to a high standard would be beneficial, but is not a prerequisite.
This post is deployable trust-wide.

Requirements
Grade 8 or above in a primary study instrument (or demonstrable skill level equivalent to at least Grade 8)
Grade 5 music theory or above
Valid driving license
Teaching a range of ages, from primary to secondary pupils
Leading and assisting with ensemble activities (choirs, ensembles, performance opportunities)

Benefits include:

Extensive CPD opportunities
A network of senior leaders and principals with a wealth of expertise
Opportunities for leadership progression
Teachers’ Pension scheme
Access to employee benefits hub including cycle to work, and discounts at a range of retailers

The Trust has a strong programme of induction and professional development for its staff, with regular courses run by some of the best-known names in education.
