Volunteer Support Teacher job summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in key lessons in task completion and breaking down key information.
- Aid in the development of independent learners.
- Supporting students on the SEND register inside and outside of the classroom.
- Support the delivery of interventions for students on the SEND register.
Experience:
- Experience of working with children of relevant age in a learning environment.
- Excellent Literacy skills in spoken and written English, equivalent to NVQ Level 3 in English
- Ability to work unsupervised as a member of a team and meet data deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills both internally, with families and with outside agencies
- Effective use of ICT to support learning – learning platforms such as Fresh Start, Lexia.
- Effective use of ICT to support students and colleagues -databases such as CCR, Bromcom and applications such as Word, Excel.
- Effective organisational skills used in prioritising tasks.
Qualification Criteria:
- Qualified to degree level (ideal).
- A-levels or level 3 qualifications.
- Right to work in the UK.
