Wellbeing Support Assistant

Salary: £28,459 per annum (Actual term-time salary: £24,557)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Contract: Term Time + 5 INSET days

We are looking for a caring, resilient and proactive Wellbeing Support Assistant to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will support students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 1:1 and in-class behavioural support.
  • Delivering targeted interventions for students with SEMH needs.
  • Supporting students to develop social skills, emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Working closely with teachers, parents and the pastoral team to promote student wellbeing and attendance.
  • Upholding safeguarding and promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a calm and positive approach, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
