Wrap Around Care Manager job summary

  • Maternity Cover. Term Time Only plus 5 additional weeks
  • Working hours in term time are 22.5 hours/week (7:30am-9:00am and 3:00pm-6:00pm)
  • Additional weeks to be worked over the holiday periods where our childcare is open over summer, October half term, and Easter
  • Working hours in holidays to be discussed in interview (but likely to be condensed to 7:45am-5:30pm)

We are delighted to offer a unique and exciting opportunity to join the vibrant Whitkirk Primary School community as a Wraparound Club Manager from September 2025. This is a role offering variety, leadership, and the chance to make a real difference in children's lives throughout the school day and beyond. You will lead our thriving Wraparound provision, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and safe care for children before and after school, as well as supporting during some school holiday sessions. You’ll manage a small team of Playworkers, plan activities, oversee safeguarding and wellbeing, and liaise with parents and carers.

About You:

To be a good fit for this role, you will:

  • Have experience working with children in both educational and childcare settings.
  • Be confident leading a small team and planning engaging play-based activities.
  • Communicate effectively and builds strong relationships with children, staff, and families.
  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management, and inclusive practice.
  • Bring warmth, enthusiasm, and a commitment to ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
  • Be flexible, organised, and thrives in a dynamic school environment.
