What skills and experience we're looking for

Due to the relocation of our current postholder, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our village school of 108 children. We are looking to appoint a part-time outstanding teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning. You will make a significant contribution to raising standards in our school and be able to commit to the school’s distinctive Christian ethos. We are looking for a teacher to teach in our mixed Year 1&2 classroom on a Thursday and Friday.

Visitors always comment on the friendly ethos of our small school and the outstanding behaviour of our children. We are currently in the top 2% of all primary schools nationally based on our end of KS2 outcomes. This role is M1 to M6.

The successful candidate will:

  • deliver creative and exciting learning which builds on the children’s prior learning, knowledge and interests.
  • be willing to lead a curriculum subject across the school.
  • create learning environments that inspire and motivate children.
  • have excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

What the school offers its staff

Stanion C.E Primary is a friendly, popular school located between Kettering and Corby. We are always oversubscribed and have a waiting list to join the school. We achieved a ‘Good’ grade in our latest Ofsted inspection in November 2022. Also, we achieved a J1 outcome in our recent SIAMs church inspection being awarded the Bishop’s Award for Excellence.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
