What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you a passionate and committed teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team from November 2025, or sooner if available to cover a maternity leave. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a delightful class of children who are eager to learn and thrive.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has high expectations for all pupils and can inspire and engage children in their learning
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and a creative approach to teaching
  • Has a good understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment
  • Is reflective, resilient and a strong team player
  • Is committed to fostering positive relationships with children, staff and families

Intake Primary School has a long and proud history as it was first opened in 1884 and has now achieved over 135 years of educational service to the local community.
