Year 4 part-time teacher job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed part-time (Thursday and Friday) Primary Teacher to join our school and play an important part in helping our pupils thrive.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners. Working as part of a supportive team, you will build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues and contribute to a welcoming school community.
Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT at the start of your career, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who is keen to develop their practice, share ideas and make a real difference to the children in our school.
Role Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that support pupils to make progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Adapt teaching and learning to meet the needs of individual pupils, including those with SEND.
- Assess pupils' learning, provide effective feedback and use information to inform future planning.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence, independence and a love of learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share ideas, resources and best practice.
- Communicate positively with parents and carers and contribute to the wider school community.
- Take an active role in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, behaviour and professional conduct.

- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has high expectations of all pupils and is committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
- Can plan and deliver engaging lessons that are accessible to all learners.
- Has a positive and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
- Builds strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
- Is reflective and open to developing their practice.
- Works well as part of a team and is willing to share ideas and support colleagues.
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and the importance of keeping children safe.
- Brings energy, enthusiasm and a genuine commitment to primary education.
