Year 5 Class Teacher - Maternity Cover (June 2025 - end of academic year) job summary

Pennine Way Junior Academy are looking to appoint a temporary teacher to provide maternity cover in a Year 5 class from June 2025 up to the end of this academic year.

We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner who has had recent experience teaching in Key Stage 2. We wish to appoint someone who can bring enthusiasm and innovation into our school and to actively support the Senior Leadership Team in achieving the school’s aims and upholding their values and those of Embark Federation.

We are a highly aspirational school and we were judged as good by OFSTED in November 2019. This was maintained in an ungraded inspection in November 2024.

The person appointed should be a good people person, communicate well, have high standards and should be committed to the schools’ vision, values and ethos.
