What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidates will:

  • Have a thorough knowledge of the primary curriculum and a wide range of teaching strategies
  • Have knowledge and experience of teaching Year 6 in Key Stage 2

  • Have high expectations of pupils to ensure they reach their potential
  • Be creative in their approach to teaching and learning
  • Be committed to collaborative learning and ongoing professional development
  • Be supportive of the Academy’s approach to supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs

King Ina C of E Academy is a primary school set within beautiful countryside on the edge of the rural town of Somerton. We have provision for 14 primary classes in addition to our pre-school. Our site includes a large sports field, a forest school, a nature garden, an adventure playground and a multi-use games area.
