Year Three Teacher - Fixed Term 0.6 FTE (MPS1-6) to cover maternity leave job summary

We require an excellent and inspirational teacher to join our dedicated staff in the Spring Term 2027, to teach in Year Three.

The successful candidate will:

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum.

Set clear, ambitious targets based on pupils’ prior attainment.

Provide a high quality, inclusive education for all learners.

Have a clear understanding of assessment for learning.

Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities.

Demonstrate a commitment to providing all children with the opportunity to succeed through the delivery of an engaging curriculum.

Be sympathetic with our Christian ethos and able to live out our strong Christian vision through their work in school.

Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and data protection.

Have high expectations of behaviour and a commitment for excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.

Have strong inter-personal skills to establish positive relationships within the school community and be an excellent team player.

Person specification:

Essential

Have experience teaching in Key Stage Two

Demonstrate excellent teaching skills and a passion for learning

Have secure knowledge of the primary curriculum

Have strong behaviour management skills, using a positive approach

Are committed to inclusion and removing barriers to achievement
Highly effective in the planning, teaching and assessment of all lessons
Able to maintain positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
Rigorous in ensuring all pupils make good progress

The ability to join a team and contribute to whole school development

A good understanding of safeguarding

Desirable

A proven track record of raising standards

The ability to lead a subject throughout the school

Practising Christian
