Year Two Lead Teacher – The Oaks CE Learning Federation
Base School: Netley Marsh CE Infant School
We are seeking an inspirational and experienced Key Stage One teacher to join our team as Year Two Lead Teacher, based at Netley Marsh CE Infant School. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple settings within The Oaks CE Learning Federation, which comprises three small, collaborative schools working together to improve practice, share expertise, and reduce workload.
About the Role:
As our Year Two Lead Teacher, you will:
- Be based in a mixed Year 1/2 class at Netley Marsh CE Infant School.
- Work in partnership with a parallel mixed-age class teacher to share planning, resources, and responsibilities.
- Lead and support the KS1 team across the Federation, with a particular focus on raising standards and outcomes in Year Two.
- Promote collaboration and the sharing of best practice across all three schools.
- Coach and mentor colleagues, modelling excellent teaching and learning.
- Attend senior leadership meetings and contribute to strategic school improvement.
- Travel between schools to support colleagues and monitor standards (designated release time is provided).
- Collaborate closely with the Federation’s Year One Lead Teacher.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills and could be a strong stepping stone toward future senior leadership roles.

Key responsibilities:
Ensuring that the curriculum design matches the curriculum intention
Monitoring standards and consistency of approach
Supporting the evaluation of agreed pedagogy
Contributing to key policies.
Supporting teachers in parallel year groups to deliver a high-quality curriculum
Promote a culture of collaboration
Supporting strategic thinking within the Federation through attending regular leadership meetings
Planning and facilitating key stage meetings
Facilitating moderation between colleagues
Visiting parallel classes across the federation
Working as part of the senior leadership team.
Disseminating key information to colleagues.
Supporting in line management of colleagues.
Leading in school development.
