About Acresfield Academy

Welcome to Acresfield Academy

Acresfield Academy is a happy, thriving and ambitious primary school at the heart of its community in Upton, on the outskirts of Chester.

As an Ofsted Outstanding, one-form-entry school, we are proud of our strong academic achievements, our dedicated staff and the positive relationships we have built with our children, parents and families.

Our success has also been recognised nationally. Acresfield was ranked 14th in the North West and 120th nationally in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide 2025, reflecting the high standards and quality of education we provide.

But what makes Acresfield truly special is its people. Our children are happy, enthusiastic and eager to learn, our staff are passionate about making a difference, and our families are valued partners in school life.

We are now looking for an inspirational Headteacher to build on these strong foundations and lead Acresfield into its next exciting chapter.
