About Archbishop Runcie CofE First School

Archbishop Runcie CE First School is a small, loving and welcoming Church of England school in Gosforth. We are proud to offer our children a high quality education in a Christian context. Our school offers an unconditional welcome to all children, of any faith or of no faith, and we value the uniqueness and God-given potential of all children. We believe it is our responsibility for all children to experience life in all its fullness, as promised by Jesus. We live out this mission, nurturing children both spiritually and academically.

We are a friendly, caring school with high expectations for all our children, promoting educational excellence for all. Our values of Love and Determination are embodied in everything we do, both within and beyond the classroom. We develop children’s thirst for learning and encourage them to be courageous advocates now and throughout their lives.

The ethos of our school is its character as demonstrated in our attitudes, aspirations and values of Love and Determination. We firmly believe that each child is unique and created in the image of God, with a range of gifts and talents to be nurtured and celebrated.

My personal mission is to lead a school where I would seek to send my own children – this is the benchmark that I strive to maintain in everything we do at Archbishop Runcie First School.
