Ashby C. E. Primary School was built in 1910 and is one of four primary schools in Ashby. There are currently 285 children on roll, in eleven classes. Key Stage One and Years 3 and 4 are housed in the main building, Foundation Stage are located in a fantastic specifically desgined building and Years 5 and 6 in the mobiles. Within the main building we also have a newly refirbished library, ICT suite, main dining hall and children’s kitchen. Outside, a large “L” shaped playground is complemented with outdoor learning areas, a climbing wall, a peace garden, a pond, a kitchen garden and an adventure trail. We also have a large playing field with an all weather surface sports area.
The school has a caring, dedicated, friendly staff, committed to the need to raise standards and expectations amongst our children. We focus on challenging all our children and our staff enjoy thinking creatively about how to deliver the curriculum.
