About Beckley Church of England Primary School

The pupils, staff and governors of St Michael's Church of England Primary School, Playden are looking to appoint a Head of School with commitment, enthusiasm and vision to work alongside two co-executive headteachers and lead the school, into the next stage of its development with effect from 1st September 2024. St Michael’s CE Primary School is a small Church of England school situated on an attractive rural site on the outskirts of Rye. It is well established in the local community and enjoys being a popular school with a strong reputation. The school site and learning environment include a variety of learning spaces, both inside and out that can be accessed by all pupils, to enhance learning.

This appointment also offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to further develop this outward facing school as we enter into a formal partnership with the Genesis Federation, comprising of two other local CE primary schools. This will offer the opportunities for us to champion best practice and secure excellent achievement for all pupils, within a culture of mutual respect, support and challenge.

You will be be an exceptional and inspirational leader, sharing our Christian ethos and values, with the vision and drive to lead the school on its journey of continuing improvement. You will be energetic, self-motivated and consistent in your approach
and have responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the school.
