About Birley Primary Academy

Birley Primary Academy joined L.E.A.D Academy Trust in February 2017 together with four other schools in the Birley family. This is an exciting time to join our Academy and contribute to a successful learning environment for our children.

We are a large primary school in south east Sheffield, admitting children from 3 to 11 years with Foundation Stage 1 (nursery) provision for 104 children. Our admissions number is 90 children across all other year groups. The school was last inspected by Ofsted in 2019 and was judged to be good.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure Form in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997.

We value diversity and are committed to recruiting from all sections of the community.

The L.E.A.D. Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997. The School follows safe recruitment practices.

Birley Primary Academy is part of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, which is a registered charity created in 2011.
