About Bronte Girls' Academy

Bronte Girls’ Academy opened in 2019 as the first Free School within the Trust. Located in the heart of the city, the Academy hosts a state-of-the-art building with cutting edge facilities based on research on how students learn best. With 580 students currently on roll, the Academy has an unshakeable belief that every student has an active role to play in the local community and in wider society.

Teaching and learning are designed to push students to explore their creativity, innovation, independence and resilience. They are often encouraged to engage with charity work and volunteering to empower them with the skills and knowledge required to address and solve the challenges our planet faces including illiteracy, poverty and inequality.
