About Brunswick Primary School

Brunswick is a four-form entry primary school situated in Hove. Our large and diverse school is popular and highly regarded within the local community. Like schools across Brighton and Hove we are facing the challenges of falling roll, which adds a further dimension to this role.

Our vision is: Achieving Success with determination and joy. We seek for all our children to be confident, motivated, thoughtful and creative builders of their future. To achieve this we want our pupils to collaborate to embrace challenges through an enquiry-focused curriculum with openness, enthusiasm and resilience. We promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone’s self-esteem and well-being is nurtured.

We have a shared core set of values, which underpin everything we do as a school. These support the whole community to be a community of learners, striving for excellence, in which all members of our community can grow and develop. The children are respectful of one another and work well together and our dedicated and hard-working staff team are equally close and caring, both of each other and of their pupils.

Staff are given opportunities to develop to enrich school life and are encouraged to explore ideas and use their talents.
Our Governing Board, who offer a broad range of skills and experience, maintain excellent working relationships with the senior leadership team and the school. They are highly engaged and invested in our roles and are committed to developing high quality education at Brunswick. They understand and value the importance of sound governance and believe a strong relationship between the board and the leadership team is crucial to the effective functioning of the school.
