Christopher Pickering Primary School is a large school to the west of Hull. It has places for 420 pupils aged 5-11 years and has a 40 place nursery. It is based in The Compass building, a purpose built centre, which it shares with a range of other agencies including a private nursery, the city’s hearing impaired resource base, a children’s centre and the primary section of Ganton Special School. Christopher Pickering Primary is Ofsted rated ‘Good’. They offer a truly inclusive approach to education and strive for all children to be the ‘best they can be’. Christopher Pickering Primary School became an academy in February 2015 and joined Humber Education Trust in September 2017.
