About Danesfield School

Danesfield School is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ primary school set in beautiful forest surroundings in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Located adjacent to an area of Services Family Accommodation, a significant proportion of the pupils are from military families and the school has close links with the RAF as a result.

At Danesfield, our vision is to nurture every child to achieve their full potential by being an inspiring school that develops happy, well-rounded children with a love of learning. Our staff and children live our values of ‘Respect, Happiness, Ambition’, creating an ambitious yet nurturing environment where children can thrive academically and pastorally. Our exceptional ICT facilities, educational and pastoral support and enrichment opportunities, including forest school, a dedicated wellbeing space in the shape of a yurt and a newly installed digital suite allow our staff to create excellent learning opportunities for our children and deliver the very best education every day. In recent years we have been a Microsoft Showcase School and a lead DfE EdTech Demonstrator School which has allowed us to develop our expertise in this field and seamlessly embed technology across the curriculum.

We strongly believe our staff are our most valuable asset. Their motivation, ambition, creativity and dedication have been key to the ongoing success of the school. We therefore encourage staff to drive their own development in order to nurture their own areas of interest, supported by an experienced and inspirational SLT. Staff wellbeing is a priority for staff and Governors and by supporting them both professionally and personally, staff are proud to be part of ‘Team Danesfield’.

The school is supported by an engaged parent community who take an active interest in their children’s education and who, through the PTA, are involved in a full calendar of fundraising activities which provide significant funds for the school and build strong relationships between all stakeholders.
