About De Lacy Academy

Here at De Lacy Academy, we have been on a journey that has seen the school recently judged as Outstanding by Ofsted. They recognised the hard work and effort that goes into making this school a successful and caring place of learning that meets the needs of its pupils and its community.

With nearly 900 pupils aged between 11 and 16 housed on a campus that has benefited from much recent investment, De Lacy is a busy and vibrant place. We serve the ex mining area of Knottingley and draw increasingly from the surrounding areas. We are experiencing a period of unprecedented growth across all year groups as the school delivers excellent outcomes and as the communities of Knottingley and Ferrybridge continue to develop.
