About Downlands Community School

Downlands Community School lies at the heart of Blandford Camp, enjoying an extremely safe and friendly environment for the children and extensive grounds for sports and playtime. This unique context means that many of our pupils change schools frequently, so we take great pride in ensuring that every child settles in quickly and happily, both educationally and socially.

Downlands Community School is an all-through Primary, taking children from three years old as part of our preschool. The ‘Downlands Team’ are a totally committed group or professionals who believe strongly in the cause of our school, its children and their families. As our school motto states: We Care. We Share. This is a rare opportunity for a permanent, full-time appointment in a school where staff mobility is very low. We require a passionate, highly skilled and empathetic professional to join our friendly and hard-working team. Applications are particularly welcome from those professionals with recent experience of teaching KS2 classes, either in previous school roles or training settings.
