About Farndon Fields Primary School

We are a friendly, nurturing, inclusive school set in beautiful, extensive grounds on the edge of Market Harborough. We currently have approximately 300 children on roll including our Preschool and our school is growing, with six additional classrooms completed in January 2019.

Our vision is for Farndon Fields to be a high achieving, vibrant learning community in which children are nurtured, motivated and have outstanding expectations for themselves and others. We believe that every member of our school community has a right to achieve their potential in an atmosphere which balances support with challenge. We provide a climate for learning which encourages creativity, is enjoyable, safe, exciting, and well-structured. We are passionate about improving the health and life choices for all our children and our school ethos promotes health, well–being, self-esteem and resilience and these are the foundations for our children to be successful in all they do. Our goal - underpinned by our four foundation stones of Nurture, Inspire, Learn, Succeed - is to develop life-long learning characteristics in children that encourage self leadership skills, helping each child to be the very best they can be.

We enjoy close links with our parents and community. We believe that strong and effective parent partnerships are key to the successful academic, social and emotional development of the children in our care. We also have established collaborative partnerships with other schools in the locality, in our Trust, with the Affinity Teaching School Alliance and Inspiring Leaders Teacher Training. In a rapidly changing educational landscape, we know that working in partnership is a vital way to grow our capacity and improve on the achievement of our school. Here at Farndon Fields we recognise that progress can come from the power of many if we have a common aim: to achieve success for all.
