About Harris Primary Academy Shortlands

Harris Primary Academy Shortlands is a two-form entry school which opened in September 2014 in Bromley, and now educates children from Reception to Year 4. We believe that every child is unique and that each deserves the opportunity to be happy, feel valued and experience success. The academy moved to a brand new building in September 2016 on Kingswood Road in Shortlands. We had our first Ofsted inspection in April 2017 from which we were rated outstanding. A copy of the report and more information about the school can be found on our website www.harrisprimaryshortlands.org.uk.

Commitment to safeguarding

The Harris Federation and all our academies are committed to ensuring the highest levels of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, references, an online search, and where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed.
