About Hilltop Junior School

Hilltop Junior School is a creative, inclusive and welcoming school with an inspiring and engaging curriculum for all pupils.

We want the very best for all our children and we have the highest aspirations for all our children. We want each child to leave our school with the skills and talents to equip them for life. We do this through providing the children with a full, varied learning experience which is exciting and develops the child as an individual.

Our staff, along with supportive parents and LAB members, contribute to the success of our school. We work together as one community with a common purpose to ensure that our children are happy and successful, developing a lifelong love of learning.

No two days are the same. Every day is a new and exciting experience which I am proud to be a part of. We offer a creative curriculum where children enjoy opportunities to have a fullness of life. Some of these opportunities include trips to London, a Year 6 residential, swimming lessons, frequent visits from the school dog, author visits, pancake flips and much more.

Hilltop Junior School is part of the HEARTS Academy Trust, a Trust of local schools that has the values of happiness, equity, achievement, resilience, truth and spirituality. The Trust is truly innovative and rewards outstanding staff for outstanding outcomes. The school calendar consists of 184 days contact time with pupils, 5 non-pupil days and the equivalent of 6 days of high quality continuous professional development.
