Intake Primary School has a long and proud history as it was first opened in 1884 and has now achieved over 135 years of educational service to the local community.

We are a forward looking school actively preparing children with the skills that they will need to be successful learners in the 21st Century. However we are also a school with very strong traditions and values and because of this we have an excellent reputation within the local community and beyond.

We aim for excellence and enjoyment in both curricular and extra-curricular activities with the express aim that each and every child has the opportunity to excel and achieve their potential. Above everything else we want children to be excited about their learning, enjoy coming to school and feel safe and happy so that they can thrive whilst they are in our care.
