About Irthington Village School

Irthington Village School is a small rural primary school, located in the centre of Irthington, with a catchment area including the villages of Newtown and Laversdale. Pupils are aged from 3 - 11 years and are taught in three mixed aged classes.
We are a friendly and welcoming school, where everyone is kind and caring. Staff are supportive of each other and have high expectations of pupils' behaviour and learning. A recent Ofsted Inspection (November 2022) judged the school to be good.
The school has achieved Fairtrade status and has developed good links with the local community.
