About the School

The school is larger than most primary schools and has rapidly expanded since its extension which was completed for September 2019. Our number on roll is currently 404 pupils and we now have 15 classes, including our Nursery class.

We were last inspected in December 2019 and rated ‘Good’. Our results at the end of KS2 show that we work hard to ensure that the majority of our children are secondary ready.

A number of our senior leaders are SLE’s (Specialist Leaders of Education) working for the Severn Teaching School Alliance.

The school demonstrates good practice in:

• Encouraging children to develop a love of reading.
• Planning engaging lessons to develop children’s love of learning.
• Developing well rounded children through exposure to a range of experiences and activities.
• The effectiveness of the governing body which is very knowledgeable about the school’s strengths and areas for improvement. Governors are closely involved in monitoring the work of the school and challenging leaders as part of school improvement activities.
