About Langwathby CofE Primary School

Langwathby CE Primary School is a village primary school with an integrated nursery. It serves a wide geographical area between the Eden and the Pennines, taking children from 14 villages in the Eden Valley.

Langwathby CE School is at the heart of a rural community. It is a happy and vibrant school encouraging pro-active and independent learning for all children. We are a school that puts a high value on creativity through a broad and balanced curriculum. Independent learning through play and real-life contexts is a key feature of learning at Langwathby. We believe learning should be creative, fun and engaging.

At Langwathby CE School we aim to help children:

We want each child to become increasingly autonomous. By that we mean children taking responsibility for themselves and their learning. As a Church School we expect all staff to demonstrate God and Jesus’s teachings through their actions and, most importantly our relationships with each other, our pupils and our families.
