Lord Deramore’s is a successful one-form entry LA maintained school, situated next to the University of York. Founded in 1795 and located next to the University of York, Lord Deramore’s Primary is a popular and unique school that has gained a well-deserved reputation for providing a creative, diverse and inclusive education. We are housed in a £3-million building - built in 2017 - and situated in the picturesque village of Heslington, just two miles from the centre of York. It is a happy and supportive school with very high levels of staff morale and retention. We are proud to be a maintained school within the City of York Council local authority.
