About Marland School

Marland is a successful all age (KS1-4) special school for students with Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It is located across four sites; Peters Marland, Barnstaple and Central Bideford and has just opened a new 'Secondary Day School' (Yr7-Yr11) in East of the Water, Bideford for 40 students. This post will be based at our Roundswell site in Barnstaple.

The overall Marland group of schools are currently graded as 'Good' by Ofsted Education, with the residential care provision separately judged to be 'Outstanding' by Ofsted Social Care inspectorate. Our overarching ethos is based around personalisation and meeting the needs of each individual child. We utilise 'THRIVE' based social and emotional development at the core of everything we do.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivational general Science subject specialist to join the staff team. This is a great opportunity to develop the delivery of general Science to small groups of students in our high quality, well resourced special school.
