About Measham Church of England Primary School

Measham Church of England Primary School is now part of the Rise Multi Academy Trust group. We are an inclusive school with 200 children set in a small ex-mining village in North West Leicestershire in the Heart of the Forest. We have delightful children and have strong links with both the local community and the church.

Our OFSTED grading is “GOOD” and we have a team of highly skilled, experienced and dedicated staff and governors. We work very closely with our parents and provide a happy and stimulating environment where “Happy children flourish…” We aim to provide a high quality education; enabling the children to have successful future. We believe that a firm partnership between school and home provides a solid foundation for learning and we value the involvement of our parents and carers.

Our school it situated on a large site and facilities include a large school field with independent access to the local Recreation ground and our own Forest school area set in a quiet area of our grounds. We have an ample playground with gym equipment, an outside classroom, a tyre park and a climbing wall. We also have a separate area for EYFS and our newly added Pre-school which offer 20 places to 3 and 4 year olds. Internally we have a large hall, a library 8 classrooms, and several withdrawal rooms used for booster groups and a dedicated room used for children with sensory needs. We operate wrap around care with an independent provider every morning and after school and have a school kitchen used to provide fresh hot meals to our children and another school locally.
