About Oughtibridge Primary School
Our school aims are to aspire to be the best we can, inspire all our children, motivate them to learn through an outstanding curriculum and be as successful as they can. Ofsted recognised the excellent work of the school and it was rated Outstanding in all areas in November 2023.
Although children’s academic achievements are very important we develop a range of other skills to ensure all pupils reach their potential. Many children are learning to play a musical instrument and every child takes part in school performances. The vast majority of children take part in the many extra curricula activities including 4 residentials, Wow days and school visits. Children thoroughly enjoy the many sporting activities on offer and take part in a range of competitive sports.
We are proud to be part of Peak Edge, a strong and supportive Trust that works collaboratively to share expertise, resources, and best practice. Being part of Peak Edge means our staff benefit from high-quality professional development, opportunities for career progression, and access to a network of colleagues who are passionate about delivering exceptional education.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children; we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. All shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose any cautions or convictions prior to interview. The amendments to the ROA Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain convictions and cautions are 'protected' and are therefore not subject to disclosure to employers. Guidance and criteria on the filtering of these cautions and convictions can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
