About RBWM Alternative Learning Provision

Achieving for Children and Haybrook College Trust have an agreed arrangement for the College to deliver the Pupil Referral Unit services on behalf of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead from September 2018. The agreement will ensure that those young people who are permanently excluded from school, or medically unable to attend their mainstream school will receive a good education while being supported to be able to return to school.
Jamie Rockman, Executive Headteacher at Haybrook College Trust, said "The College is delighted to be working collaboratively with RBWM and AFC to support children and young people who require specialist Alternative Provision. We are committed to working hard and in partnership with young people and families to ensure that they have the skills and qualifications they need to return to mainstream education as soon as possible.”
RISE works with schools and providers, parents/young people as well as other services to ensure the educational needs of the child or young person are met at the earliest opportunity in the most suitable setting. Individual circumstances are taken into to account, to enable that young person to receive the most appropriate support and provision.
Educational provision may include support and guidance in schools, short-term programmes, managed moves, 1:1 tuition or, at KS4, full-time alternative provision.
Commitment to safeguarding
RISE and Haybrook College Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people according to child protection and safeguarding guidelines. It is College policy to obtain references prior to interview. As per KCSIE guidance, shortlisted candidates may be subject to online searches for publicly available information. Applicants will be required to undertake a DBS enhanced disclosure. We strive to be an equal opportunities employer and are committed to creating a diverse workforce, recruiting from all sections of the community solely on the basis of ability to fulfil the job requirements.
