Redwood Primary is a large, multi-lingual primary school and Nursery in an area of significant deprivation based in South Derby. The school is federated with Parkview Primary school, which provides opportunities (including business management) to work across both schools, sharing expertise, develop policies and support school improvement.
Redwood has achieved good outcomes in recent years, with progress measure in maths particularly well above the national average. A strong curriculum provides aspiration, opportunity and a wide programme of rich experiences, to enhance pupils' personal development.
Redwood is also celebrated in Derby City and beyond as the lead school for provision of mental health and as been awarded the prestigious Gold Emotionally Healthy School Award, highlighting its local and national leadership of Mental Health.
