About South Wigston High School
Student learning is at the heart of everything we do, and we offer a broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum where academic achievement is a key priority. Additionally though, there is a thriving enrichment programme where students get to try new interests, or practice and hone existing talents. The school's curriculum is designed to give them the knowledge and cultural capital they need to thrive in the world. There are new and exciting courses being offered from 2022 onwards which include a wider range of vocational options and a focus on enterprise education.
Achieving great examination outcomes is important to enable young people to pursue their aspirations, but we know school life is about so much more than certificates and qualifications. This is why we place just as much emphasis on our pastoral care and support for young people, so they are also able to flourish and succeed during their education.
