About St Ignatius Catholic Primary School

St Ignatius Catholic Primary School is one of four primary schools, together with St Paul's Catholic College and St Richard Reynolds Catholic College, make up the Ascension Catholic Academy Trust. Each school within the Trust has its own leadership team led by the Headteacher as well as its own Local Governing Body. The Headteacher has full responsibility for delivery at school level, ranging from the day-to-day running of the school to decisions over staffing, budget management and the delivery of the school improvement plan.

St Ignatius has an intake of 60 into its two Reception classes and a positive community identity which the LGB is keen to sustain. The school will benefit from the growing working relationship with the other ACAT schools - potentially enjoying the strengths of a shared curriculum and assessment framework as well as other practices. The staff community is
engaged and developmental and there is a growing culture of self-improvement. St Ignatius is in a healthy position both financially and in terms of its admissions and pupil outcomes.
