St Mary's CE Primary School is an average sized primary school with 190 pupils on roll. The school serves a mixed catchment area from the Rossendale area.

At St Mary's CE Primary School our children benefit from being part of an inclusive school community where they feel secure, valued and cared for. Our children enjoy opportunities to study a wide, varied and rich curriculum, alongside being supported and challenged, allowing them to achieve their potential; personally, socially and academically.

We are looking for someone who is committed to the school and securing high standards of teaching and learning, someone who is positive and passionate about making a difference to all at St Mary's CE Primary School. The position in the first instance is from October 30th 2023 to the 21st July 2024  across year 1 with  1:1 commitment supporting SEN pupils.  The hours are 8.45 – 15:30 and include lunchtime cover. The successful candidate will also be provided with a 30 minute lunch break each day.

Commitment to safeguarding

St Mary’s CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff are subject to an initial and updated DBS, an induction period and the guidance on disqualification by association.
