About St Thomas' CofE Primary Academy

St Thomas’ CofE Academy is a small, welcoming primary school in Kidsgrove.

As a church school in Kidsgrove, our Christian values create an extended family atmosphere and a feeling of belonging within a caring community. In this environment, children feel confident and secure to try new things.

We are proud of our children: who they are and what they achieve. It is their learning and well-being that is at the heart of everything we do. Our dedicated and conscientious team of staff work hard to feed curiosity and inspire learning so that every child achieves and succeeds in a caring and secure environment.

We are committed to instilling in our children a life -long love for learning that will equip them to succeed in today’s ever-changing society. Whilst we follow the National Curriculum, we strive to make learning exciting and fun. We are extremely fortunate to have vast school grounds, within which we have our own Forest School. The children access these areas as part of their curriculum.

Parents are key to the success of the child’s education. We value the relationships we have with our parents and constantly seek to build on these. Our ‘Open Door’ policy and close working relationships, ensures parents are involved with their child’s education. The local community is seen as a valuable asset. As such, we enjoy positive relationships within it and the children feel proud to be part of it.
